Who will have the better 2019 fantasy season between Golden Tate and Sterling Shepard?

Two days after the Giants traded away OBJ, they signed Golden Tate to a large contract. The puzzling thing was that Tate was historically a slot WR, and the Giants already had a young receiver in Sterling Shepard who’s home was the slot. It seems like the Giants have confidence that Shepard is capable on the outside, since they just gave him a brand new extension as well.

In a small sample size, Shepard has shown some success on the outside, and will get opportunity for bigger plays on the perimeter. With Tate turning 31 before the season begins, the slot will likely be the best for him, as he won’t have to face bump coverage and can avoid better, physical corners… not to mention he’s been one of the best slot WRs over the last five years.

Who will command the higher target share in 2019? The offense might not be as good, but there will be targets to go around. Considering the fact that Eli Manning is their QB, would you bet on the shorter depth of target and go with whoever mans the slot? 👇👇👇
