In the past when trying to figure out whether Gronk was worth your first or second round pick, his injury concerns were always in the back of your mind. Kelce, on the other hand, has played in almost every game over the past five seasons, and is as safe as they come.
His ADP of the early 2nd round might seem way too early for a TE, but he isn’t just a TE; he’s a WR1, and you’re drafting him after 5-7 WRs are probably off the board already. It’s tough to bet against him finishing amongst those guys at the end of the year.
With Tyreek Hill’s future in doubt, Kelce can have an even larger target share after the leading the team with 150 targets last year.
If I think about taking a guy like Antonio Brown or Mike Evans before Kelce, I might want to reconsider and potentially grab one of those third round WRs as my WR1 instead so I can gain a bigger positional advantage at TE.
Who has to be off the board near the 1-2 turn or early 2nd round for you to grab Kelce at that spot? I’ll list some guys: James Conner, Joe Mixon, Dalvin Cook, Michael Thomas, Julio Jones, OBJ, Juju, Antonio Brown, Mike Evans. Let me know 👇👇
