Zach Wilson didn’t look anywhere but Corey Davis’ way in their first pre-season game.

Corey Davis ran 4 routes. He was targeted 4 times.

Jamison Crowder and Keelan Cole were the other two starters with Elijah Moore out.

As much as I love a Year 1 breakout for Elijah Moore, Davis should be on our draft radars given the rapport these he has shown with Wilson this past weekend. He was signed to be the #1 WR, and there’s a very good chance he comes through on those expectations.

In 2020, Davis was 4th in yards/route run behind Davante Adams, Justin Jefferson, and AJ Brown. He’s not the best route runner or separator, but he can get it done with a high target share.

He’s being drafted as the WR53, but if he’s going go get a >20% target share, he can easily finish as a WR3 or higher.

I do think Elijah Moore’s season-long upside is higher, but both will be on my radar. Davis will have the advantage to start the year with Moore missing valuable practice time in camp (quad).
