2023's Top Trade Deadline Targets for a Late-Season Playoff Push

Are you sitting comfortably at 7-3 or better (or at least in a spot where you essentially have a playoff berth locked up)? Yes? Check out our playoff-specific options to try and push your team from playoff-caliber to championship-winner.

Not in a comfortable spot? There are four weeks left before the majority of leagues' fantasy playoffs begin. Now is the time to invest in some short-term options to try and give you that final push to make the playoffs.

You can't win your championship if you don't make the playoffs. If you're not comfortable now, you need to make a few moves to ensure you make the playoffs - from there, it can be the luck of the draw. Looking for some immediate boosts to your lineup? Here are a few things to do:

1. Shorten your bench - having a deep bench won't help your starting lineup over the next few weeks.

2. Play the matchups when you can - it's easier to get big games against bad defenses.

3. Avoid bye weeks when you can - there are still a few teams with upcoming byes; it's best to avoid a player that won't be in your lineup while you are in a desperation push for a playoff spot.

Now by no means am I saying matchups are everything (actually the contrary), but positioning yourself to have your RB1 draw Carolina or Denver over the next few weeks immediately increases your odds from an RB playing Philly or Cleveland.

With that said, use some common sense - you shouldn't be trading Christian McCaffrey for Bijan Robinson, just because the Falcons have an easier short-term schedule. You should still be coming out on top (or at least close to even) in your trades as you try to position yourself for a potential playoff berth. If you don't know what the value of your players is, head over to our Trade Charts!
