The good news: it might not be possible for us to get Bucky Irving’d this week like we did last week. The bad news: that means he could be outright unavailable to fantasy teams for the first round of the fantasy playoffs. There’s a good chance that many of the managers who need Bucky to be active this week and play without restrictions rode his hot streak to contend for the playoffs in the first place. Now, they’re staring down the barrel of what could potentially become the first game he misses in his career due to injury. It’s a tough matchup anyway for the Buccaneer running backs against the Chargers, and if it means Bucky could be back to full health for a much better matchup in Week 16 against the Cowboys, Tampa Bay could take the long term approach as they push for the playoffs late this season. If Bucky would miss, Rachaad White would profile as a very strong RB2 start with clear RB1 upside – and even if Bucky plays, there’s a chance he could be limited and concede additional work to White. Either way, Rachaad White is a player worth starting this week. Meanwhile, Evans hasn’t practiced yet this week – but that’s to be expected at this point for a veteran receiver of his caliber. He could miss today’s practice and still be likely to go for Sunday’s game, so fantasy managers should simply check in on Sunday to ensure that Evans isn’t listed with the rest of the inactives ahead of kickoff.
