Kmet has been one of the more reliable fantasy tight ends over the past month, scoring double-digit PPR fantasy points and finishing inside the top-10 at the position in four straight games. Kmet was on his way to his best performance of the season against the Cardinals last week, racking up over 100 yards receiving before exiting with a knee injury that ultimately held him out for the rest of the game. He’s now beginning the week on the wrong foot by missing practice on Wednesday. It’s early, so fantasy managers don’t need to start panic shopping on the waiver wire just yet – but with little on the line for the Bears or Kmet himself as the 2023 regular season comes to a close, there’s little incentive for the tight end to hurry back into the starting lineup. Continue to monitor this situation throughout the week, but it would be an ill-advised decision to roll with all of your eggs in Kmet’s basket going into the fantasy football championship round this weekend.
