Under OC Greg Roman, the Ravens were extremely run heavy. It’s something he’s been doing even before he got to Baltimore.
Todd Monken’s QBs have put up big numbers in the NFL. Jameis Winston and Ryan Fitzpatrick were elevated to fantasy starters under him. The Buccaneers led the league in passing yards under Monken in 2018 and were 4th the year before in 2017. Hell, Baker Mayfield almost threw for 4000 yards when Monken was the Browns’ OC in 2019. And then at Georgia over the last three seasons, his offense was a Top-10 passing offense overall.
If Lamar stays in Baltimore, watch out. A more pass heavy offense with Lamar’s rushing ability is a recipe for an overall QB1 finish. Rashod Bateman had the pedigree & draft capital of the Ravens’ next WR1. He could be a value in drafts this year.
Despite a more pass heavy attack, there can be more willingness to give Dobbins a full workload. Full year removed from ACL tear, too… I might be back on him.
Whoever is QB will be a huge factor, but Monken should bring a more fantasy-friendly offense to Baltimore regardless.
