Buy RB Jonathan Taylor, IND
Taylor was a buy last week, and despite a solid game, a buy window is still open. He has a tough matchup against Minnesota this week, but with Joe Flacco behind center, two things happen. One, the offense improves, so more goal-line opportunities. Two, he’ll get more targets from a statue QB. The Colts' offensive line is playing very well, so I’m not too worried about what seems like a tough schedule on paper.
Sell RB Rhamondre Stevenson, NE
I can’t trust the Patriots' offense, and I can’t trust Stevenson’s role to stay steady throughout the year, so I’m selling high. We’ve seen Antonio Gibson take on a passing-down role, we’ve seen Stevenson do it, and we’ve seen Jamycal Hasty in that role, as well. He’s averaged 2.4 yards/carry over the last two weeks, and he now gets two very tough matchups in Tennessee and in Chicago.
Buy RB Christian McCaffrey, SF
The word is that CMC will be back in Week 10 after the 49ers bye week. There’s also a chance he doesn’t receive the full workload we’re used to. Here’s the thing - even if you cut his workload by 30%, you still have an RB1 with overall RB1 potential given his usage in the receiving game and the quality of his offense. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if CMC came back and ended up winning leagues.
Sell RB Raheem Mostert, MIA
Sell Mostert to someone who might be desperate for an RB. Miami’s offense is back, and Mostert got all of the goal line work last week. I can see that role moving back and forth between him and Achane, and Mostert will need perfect situations to come through if he’s only depending on those goal-line TDs. Add him in as a throw-in to trade offers this week and see what you can buy up to.
