Immediate Fantasy Takeaways from Ravens at Chiefs

Xavier Worthy Makes a Huge Splash in His First Game

Worthy showed his speed off of an end-around early in the game for a TD and then caught another TD on a broken play. If you started him, you're elated - but his role will have to grow if we can depend on the production. He only had a 10.7% target share (3 targets), but the good news is that he ran the same number of routes as Rashee Rice. If Hollywood Brown misses another game, he remains an upside flex play.

Derrick Henry Will Have Better Games

After watching that offensive line, I have my doubts. However, the Chiefs are a good defense and Henry was game-scripted out with the Ravens down for most of the game. With more positive game scripts moving forward (like next week at home vs the Raiders), expected Henry to rack up more work. It might have seemed like Justice Hill had a bigger role, but his role stayed consistent as the passing down back - we're just not used to the Ravens being down often like this.

Rashee Rice Is Patrick Mahomes' Amon-Ra St. Brown

Rice led the Chiefs with an elite 32.1% target share, leading to a 7-103 line, but most importantly, he saw manufactured layup routes in the middle of the field that took advantage of the ability after the catch. A breakout year is coming for Rice.

The Ravens Run 2-TE Sets As Their Base Offense

The Chiefs had a game plan for Mark Andrews, but this switch caused them to have no answer for Isaiah Likely, who had a 29.3% target share en route to a monster 9/111/1 line and a toe away from another TD. Andrews' 4.9% target share led to only 2 catches for 14 yards. Likely would have to increase his 68.6% route participation in order for him to have sustainable production moving forward. The Ravens aren't going to be down in many games this year; Lamar hit this many pass attempts only once last season. I wouldn't panic about Andrews just yet, and I won't be starting Likely over him next week, but Likely is a priority waiver wire pickup and looks to be a big part of the offense. Andrews did lose some value last night.
