While there was initially hope that Johnson would be ready to go for this week’s game against Minnesota, that didn’t come to fruition on the injury report and the rookie will miss Week 6. That being said, D’Onta Foreman looks like a quality flex play with RB2 upside this week – but his usefulness is likely to last only as long as Johnson is out of the lineup. Assuming Johnson returns next week from his concussion, he’ll be in line to take the reigns in the Bears backfield as long as Herbert is out. The Bears have passed the ball with much more success over the past two weeks than they had in the beginning of the year, so there’s a chance that whoever is handling the bulk of the work in Chicago’s backfield will have a limited ceiling regardless. Foreman projects to be an ideal streamer at the position this week, but Johnson is still the player to add.
