The biggest domino of the offseason just fell in Baltimore: QB Lamar Jackson is officially staying with the Ravens.
Jackson has signed a 5-year, $260 million deal ($185 million guaranteed), per Tom Pelissero, with the Baltimore Ravens after a lengthy contract dispute that saw the QB receive the non-exclusive franchise tag earlier this offseason.
Now that he's confirmed to be staying long-term in Baltimore, we have a much better idea of his fantasy outlook. While the supporting cast isn't ideal (we have yet to see if the Ravens will add to it this weekend via the NFL Draft), we do know that Jackson will present his typical elite-QB1 production and consistency whenever he's on the field due to his rushing abilities.
Jackson projects as a long-term mid-QB1 for dynasty purposes (with some concern over his ability to sustain his rushing workload long-term) and should serve as a mid-to-high QB1 option for 2023, barring a major change to his receiving corps. Don't overthink it if you're considering drafting Jackson - you know what you're getting: an elite rushing QB that will likely provide 20+ points every week he's on the field, but some doubt as to how often he'll miss time after back-to-back years of suffering late-season injuries.
