Tee Higgins Returns to Practice, Has Best Shot of 2024 Debut vs Commanders

Talk about perfect timing for a return as a fantasy wide receiver. The Commanders have continued to nothing short of kindling for NFL passing attacks, being scorched time and again en route to allowing the most fantasy points per game to wide receivers through two weeks. Higgins (hamstring) has missed the first two games of the season, a time in which the Bengals offense has largely floundered and been unable to find its footing. A large part of their struggles to move the ball has been a result of an inability to get star WR Ja’Marr Chase involved, as he sits as only the WR40 on the young fantasy year. While Higgins’ return would provide additional competition for targets from Joe Burrow, it would also spread defenses out and prevent them from focusing all of their attention on Chase. Overall, the return of Higgins to the starting lineup brings many more benefits than drawbacks to a Cincinnati offense that, once again, is lacking an identity in the early going. If Higgins is able to play, he’ll be an upside low-WR2 with a significantly low floor this week as he ramps up to game speed.
