BUY WR Ladd McConkey, NO
McConkey would be a fantasy star as a rookie with Justin Herbert… if the Chargers weren’t in such a run-heavy and slow offense. If he was getting the team-leading 26% target share he’s currently getting on a normal offense, he’d be a clear every-week WR2. Despite that, he’s still due for bigger days based on his current volume and could’ve had a bigger day last week if he wasn’t stopped at the one-yard line. If the Chargers are forced to throw, McConkey should have a blowup game. The four games where he didn’t go crazy were Vegas, Carolina with Bryce Young, Pittsburgh, and Denver. The one game in which he scored more than 15 fantasy points was against the Chiefs. He’s an even bigger dynasty buy because he’s confirmed legit through five career games.
BUY RB Kenneth Walker III, SEA
Walker isn’t coming off a down game, but he might not be perceived as a Top-5 RB just yet - because that’s what he is right now. 14 carries and 8 targets last week? Another 8 targets the week before? This is a high-end RB1 type of opportunity. Walker is tied for the league lead among all RBs in targets/game with Alvin Kamara. Only Kamara and Kyren Williams have more expected fantasy points/game based on their opportunity this season. He has some good matchups coming up before his bye, so don’t let Walker managers realize what they actually have on their hands.
SELL TE Cole Kmet, CHI
If I have Kmet, I’m totally fine starting him every week. But I would try to package him up with another player, and try to get one of the big three at tight end: Kittle, Bowers, McBride. See what those teams need, and try to offer them someone who can help their starting lineup, while they knowingly take a hit at TE. Kmet is coming off a big week, which eases the blow a bit. The Bears offense will remain crowded, targets will vary across their options, and it took a down week from DJ Moore for Kmet to have a big game. I’d try and sell high.
