Breece Hall - RB, NYJ vs BUF
Buffalo’s not only allowing the most fantasy points/game to RBs and more than 100 yards/game on the ground, but they’re also allowing the most receptions and receiving yards to RBs this season.
For reference, Breece is already 2nd in receptions among all RBs, so this is a get right spot for him – don’t let yourself get to cute with it after the last two duds he’s put up over the past two weeks. And if you’re going to buy Breece Hall low, this week is probably the week to do it - he has some very very good matchups on the schedule coming up. Especially the playoff schedule - but starting in Week 10, Arizona, Indy, the bye week, then Seattle, Miami, Jacksonville, the Rams, and the Bills again in championship week.
That is an amazing schedule - and I know Braelon Allen looks good and is getting a little bit of work, but Breece was on the field for 80% of snaps last week and hasn’t dipped below 70% for the season, and that’s according to Fantasy Life’s utilization report that gets updated every single week - Breece Hall can still win leagues.
Bijan Robinson - RB, ATL vs CAR
As for Bijan, the Panthers are allowing the 2nd most fantasy points to RBs, over 120 rushing yards/game (which is 2nd in the league), and they’re allowing the most rushing TDs in the league by far to RBs. Atlanta is favored by almost a TD - so let’s cross our fingers and hope that the volume is there for him this week. I wouldn’t overthink it – his rushing attempt share went up to 65% this past week according to Fantasy Life’s utilization report; that’s what you want to see. Let’s hope for some targets, too - but in this game against Carolina where you’d expect a ton of volume on the ground, the coaches are probably game planning for just that. I wouldn’t be surprised if Tyler Allgeier was pretty involved - maybe the same percentage of runs, but they’ll be eating out of a bigger cake this week.
D’Andre Swift - RB, CHI vs JAX
How can you bench the guy right now? Two top-3 finishes over the last two weeks. He has to be in lineups against Jacksonville - they’re allowing the 3rd most fantasy points to RBs, and particularly relevant to Swift – who’s averaging 4.5 targets over the last 4 games – the Jags are allowing the 2nd most receptions and receiving yards to RBs. I think he’s a RB1 play this week.
It is worth noting that they’re giving up a ton of fantasy points, but they’re allowing only 3.81 yards/carry to RBs, which is 5th best in the NFL - but running backs are scoring touchdowns and getting it done in the receiving game against them.
