Why Bijan Is A Generational Prospect

There’s a lot of hype around Bijan Robinson. Is it warranted? Here’s what you need to know:

Bijan has been very productive over his three years at Texas, including his rookie season. As a freshman in 2020, he was already one of the most efficient RBs in the nation, and he continued that dominance throughout his 3-year career.

Yards after contact and missed tackles forced are two factors I weigh heavily when projecting to the next level… He was #1 in YAC/att in 2022 among all Power 5 RBs. He was also #1 in missed tackles forced/att at a ridiculous 40.5% rate. That was just this past season, though.

How does that compare historically? Among 143 Power 5 RB seasons with 200+ carries since 2014, his 2022 season ranked 8th in YAC/att. Out of 779 RB seasons of 150+ carries since 2014, Bijan owns the 6th best (2021) and 7th best (2022) seasons in forced missed tackles/attempt. He’s also very capable in the pass game, with seasons of 1.52 and 1.36 yards/route run over his last two seasons.

He has vision, patience, power, home run ability, and is projected to be a 1st round pick to put him over the top as an elite RB prospect.
