Zack Moss has done an admirable job of hanging around in the Colts backfield as long as he has following the return of Jonathan Taylor, but a missed practice Friday could derail any hope for him and his fantasy managers that he would be able to remain fantasy relevant moving forward. As expected, Jonathan Taylor has been working towards a takeover of Indy’s backfield over the past few weeks, and Moss was the last hurdle remaining for Taylor to clear in completing it. If Moss would miss the game this weekend against New Orleans, Taylor could reclaim his throne atop the Colts backfield and re-establish himself as one of the game’s premier fantasy backs. The price of Taylor’s return to dominance could very well be Zack Moss’s fantasy relevance, and as great of a run as it was with Moss to begin the year, he was simply delaying the inevitable once Taylor earned his long-term contract. Taylor profiles as a low-RB1/high-RB2 in a tough matchup against New Orleans.
